Anti-Coli O 2monospecific
Anti-Coli O 2
is a monospecific test reagent for the serological detection and serovar determination of isolated
E.coli
strains from human test material or other origin.
Method:
Slide agglutination and Widal reaction. If the isolated strain has
E.coli
antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination.
Range:
Е.coli O 2
Composition:
A mixture of monoclonal antibodies derived from the supernatant of the culture medium of hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies against the group specific
E.coli
antigen.
Preservative:
Sodium Azide (NaN3) 0.9mg/ml
Form of the reagent:
Lyophilised
Storage:
2-8⁰C
An isolate with positive results requires testing with monospecific reagents for further characterisation and to rule out unspecific agglutinations a check by the Gruber-Widal test (confirmation test) with
Gruber Widal Serum Anti-Coli O 2
.
Anti-Coli O 2
is relevant to veterinary medicine in
E.coli
diagnostics in young poultry.
