Anti-Coli F 5 (K 99) monospecific
Anti-Coli F 5 (K 99)
is a monospecific test reagent for the serological detection and serovar determination of
E.coli
strains from isolates from cattles. First carry out a screening agglutination with the
polyspecific test serum Anti-Coli C
. If the reaction with the polyspecific test serum is positive, the isolate must then be typed with the monospecific test sera.
The F5 (K99) antigen is often not formed in sufficient quantities on standard culture media. We therefore recommend the use of elective agar when culturing to promote the formation of the fimbrial antigen F5 (K99).
Method:
Slide agglutination and Widal reaction. If the isolated strain has
E.coli
antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination.
Range:
Е.coli F 5
Composition:
A mixture of monoclonal antibodies derived from the supernatant of the culture medium of hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies against the group specific
E.coli
antigen.
Preservative:
Sodium Azide (NaN3) 0.9mg/ml
Form of the reagent:
Liquid
Storage:
2-8⁰C
Anti-Coli F 5 (K 99)
is relevant to veterinary medicine in
E.coli
diagnostics in young cattles.
