Anti-Coli C polyspecific
Anti-Coli C
is a polyspecific screening reagent that is intended for use in serological detection of specific antigena of
E.coli
strains.
Method:
Slide agglutination. If the isolated strain has
E.coli
antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination.
Range:
polyspecific (O 9:K 35, O 101:K 28, O 101:K 30, O 101:K 32); serological detection of O 9:K 35, O 101:K 28, O 101:K 30, O 101:K 32 or F 5 (K 99) antigen.
Composition:
A mixture of monoclonal antibodies derived from the supernatant of the culture medium of hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies against the specific
E.coli
antigens.
Preservative:
Sodium Azide (NaN3) 0.9mg/ml
Form of the reagent:
Liquid
Storage:
2-8⁰C
An isolate with positive results requires testing with monospecific reagents for further characterisation and to rule out unspecific agglutinations a check by the Gruber-Widal test (confirmation test).
Anti-Coli C
is relevant to veterinary medicine by
E.coli
diagnostics in young poutry.
